The Imperial Overlord in Chief’s reign of absurdist terror, knows no bounds. It has no end in sight. This disgusting megalomaniac, this free association hatemonger has threatened to obliterate a member state of the UN on the floor of the UN. The President of the United States on the floor of the UN literally said that if North Korea did not comply with the US demands that “we will have no choice than to totally destroy North Korea.” Later in his speech he referred to Hezbollah and others as “loser terrorists.” He spoke of all kinds of threats and enemies to global peace and the burden taken on by the US military to keep the peace. He never once mentioned that the US is the only country to ever use nuclear weaponry, or that in this very year, he himself unloaded the “mother of all bombs” upon Afghanistan for no discernible reason. The war crimes of the US and its junior partners are invisible. The defensive measures that other nations take against imperial slaughter are seen as “rogue.”
Trump also went on an anti communist rant, “We call for the full restoration of democracy and political freedoms in Venezuela. The problem in Venezuela is not that socialism has been poorly implemented, but that socialism has been faithfully implemented.” It is interesting that Trump has singled out Venezuela as particularly undemocratic given how many national referendums the country of Venezuela has. The United States has never had a national referendum. Here we simply vote for “our betters” and let them handle it. Also it is strange for the US with its inherently undemocratic electoral college to lecture anyone about democracy. Maduro like many world leaders has pointed out that Trump lost by 3 million votes. Only in the US do we just accept the idea that someone could lose by 3 million votes and be president because uh, “those are the rules” or something.
Between threat and insult Trump blathered on about the sacrosanct nature of the nation state as free and sovereign. He vowed at this international gathering to “always put America first.” He described the various nation states of the world as “diverse.” He spoke of respect for other nations and people’s despite in the very same speech having threatened to destroy a nation.
Donald Trump is the latest in a succession of 45 consecutive imperial presidencies. He is not unique in hypocrisy, he is not unique in the menace he threatens to impose upon the world. His targets are not unique. In Donald Trump’s first imperial screed he went on to threaten and besmirch Cuba, Venezuela, Syria, North Korea and various other usual suspects of US aggression. What is unique about him in the post World War II period is the level personal insult and ridicule. If the UN had any kind of actual standing in the world outside of simply serving as a quasi business conference for the imperial nations then Trump’s boyish antics would finally see the US 86’d for its long patterns of abuse to its fellow members.
Donald Trump is a pathetic loser and is roughly the physical manifestation of the US empire in its current form.
During his performance art presidential act before the world Trump speaking to the foundations of the UN puzzlingly stated
“Those three beautiful pillars, they are pillars of peace, sovereignty, security and prosperity.”
What does it matter that Donald Trump cannot count? Neither can America. The US is a country where a man can lose by 3 million votes and still get to be president. Donald Trump is America. America is Donald Trump. The disgrace is not his alone.
Trump is a fascist. Karl Marx once said “History repeats itself first as tragedy and second as farce.” Donald Trump is a farcicalist.
Sadly the world may not survive this sick cruel joke. The nuclear codes are in the hands of a eugenicist. Sad.
